Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross Brilliantly Responds to Diego Costa’s Accusations That He Smells a Bit

Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross is still celebrating his side’s win over Chelsea yesterday, but may have been left wondering about his own hygiene after a clash with Diego Costa.

As we told you yesterday, The Blues’ Spanish forward was seen gesturing to the Stoke defender that his armpits smelled a bit, and that he could perhaps do with a wash and some shower gel…

But Shawcross had the last laugh, on and off the pitch it seems, following City’s 1-0 victory at the Britannia Stadium courtesy of a Marko Arnautovic strike, which condemned Jose Mourinho’s side to their seventh Premier League defeat in only 12 games this season.

The centre-back’s wife took to Twitter last night to have a cheeky dig at her husband, and reverse the roles on Costa a bit…

Costa loves playing the villain, and yesterday was no different, but perhaps he should concentrate more on why his side are currently languishing in 16th position, rather than Ryan Shawcross’s choice of deodorant.
