Gary Neville Sends a Short But Sweet Goodbye Message to Jamie Carragher

Gary Neville Sends a Short But Sweet Goodbye Message to Jamie Carragher

When Gary Neville accepted the manager’s job at Valencia, he ended one of the biggest on-screen bromances currently airing on UK televisions.

The former Manchester United right-back was formally unveiled as the La Liga side’s new boss on an initial six-month deal on Thursday at the Mestalla Stadium, ending his tenure alongside Jamie Carragher as Sky Sports’ two lead anchors on Monday Night Football.

Earlier in the week, when news of Neville’s new career choice broke, we told you how Carragher had treated the news in typical matey fashion, having a sly, good-natured dig at his outgoing colleague on Twitter.

But with a to-do list probably longer than Santa’s at this time of year, Neville kept quiet on the social media sight until late on Thursday night.

The England coach has sent out a series of tweets thanking the various people who helped him smooth over the transition from pundit to manager, and even saved a sweet message for Carra…

Awww, you guys! We’ll certainly miss seeing the two former rivals on screen together, but who know, maybe Neville will be a complete failure in Spain and he’ll be back on our screens before you know it.

In the meantime, we have a lot to look forward to on Monday nights…
