Jamie Carragher doesn’t seem bothered by El Hadji Diouf calling him a turkey this week.
The Liverpool legend definitely didn’t get a Christmas card from his former Anfield team-mate if an interview he gave to So Foot is anything to go by.
Diouf – who made 79 appearances for the club between 2002 and 2004 – was especially critical of Neil Lennon in the chat with the French magazine.
But he’s made headlines in England with his brutal criticism of Steven Gerrard and Carragher.
According to Diouf, Gerrard is an egotist, while Carra would be the last person he’d want to spend Christmas with – even going as far as calling the Sky Sports pundit a turkey.
Not that Carragher is bothered – responding in funny fashion when questioned about it on Twitter this afternoon:
It's better than a Donkey & plenty have called me that before!!!!!! https://t.co/SvDtAV7slr

Carragher may be laughing off Diouf’s jibe, but we’re not so sure Gerrard will be able to.
Earlier this year Diouf accused Liverpool and their legendary former captain of being racist and there were reports that Gerrard was mulling over whether or not he would sue his ex-team-mate.
We’d be surprised if Gerrard was willing to let his latest criticism pass without response.
