Fans Shower Dele Alli With Huge Praise as Jamie Carragher Backs Him to Start at Euro 2016

Another Spurs match, another Dele Alli love-in.

The midfielder was in outstanding form for Tottenham at Everton this afternoon, scoring in the 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

The 19-year-old former MK Dons man equalised for the visitors in first-half injury time, following a brilliant chest and volley finish to secure a point.

Alli’s rise to prominense has been extraordinary since his summer move to White Hart Lane, but the English media went into overdrive following his latest performance, with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher tipping him to force his way into England’s starting line-up at this summer’s European championships in France.

Talking after the match with fellow pundit Graeme Souness, Carragher said: “I expect him to be in the England squad and I’m thinking now he should be in the team, in the centre.”

Alli has started just one match for Roy Hodgson’s team, scoring in the November friendly win over France at Wembley, but judging by the reaction to his outstanding form, he could soon be adding to that tally.

It wasn’t only Carragher and Souness who enjoyed his performance today, fans all over the country were falling over themselves to shower him with praise…
