Frans Hoek Thanks Best Supporters in the World After Manchester United Exit

Frans Hoek won’t be continuing at Manchester United following Louis van Gaal‘s sacking as manager.

And the goalkeeping coach delivered that news before thanking the club’s supporters for their backing throughout his time at the club.

The Dutchman followed van Gaal to Old Trafford two years ago and has been seen as a success in helping David de Gea to his two best seasons as a player.

Hoek also has a presence on Twitter and offered interesting insight into his work at Manchester United for supporters.

But he’s confirmed he’s not going to stick around to work under a new manager at the club – and delivered a heartfelt statement for the fans in doing that.

Hoek wrote on his Facebook page:

Van Gaal was sacked as United manager on Monday night – bringing to an end his time at the club one year before his contract was due to expire.

It now looks like Jose Mourinho will take over from the Dutch boss, with United believed to be well into negotiations with the former Chelsea manager.

While van Gaal, Hoek and the majority of the backroom team leave, there’s still no word on what Ryan Giggs’ future at the club is.

The Welshman was assistant to van Gaal, but it’s unclear whether or not he’d be able to play that same role under Mourinho.

United fans – are you sad to see van Gaal and his backroom team go?
