Pau Gasol Drops in on Barcelona Training and Gets Signed Shirt From Andres Iniesta

Pau Gasol was a special visitor at Barcelona training the day after watching his team beat Celtic 7-0 in the Champions League.

The San Antonio Spurs star has been back in his homeland during the NBA off-season and took the opportunity to visit Barca’s training ground as Luis Enrique put his side through a recovery session.

Gasol met several players in the Barca squad, including Ivan Rakitic, Sergi Roberto and Andres Iniesta – with the latter stopping for a picture with the former Memphis Grizzlies, LA Lakers and Chicago Bulls man.

Special guest

Iniesta presented Gasol with a Barca shirt signed by the whole squad:

Gasol would have been delighted to catch up with the club’s star men – and the players were pretty happy to see him too:

Barca TV managed to catch up with Gasol and he shared his delight at seeing the 7-0 demolition of Celtic last night:

Gasol was actually a Barcelona player once himself – representing their basketball team for three years at the start of his career.

He joined the Spurs in July and will enter into his 16th season in the NBA with the San Antonio franchise when it kicks off in October.
