Having arrived from Accrington Stanley on a four-year deal last July, Windass has proved to be one of the few bright spots in Mark Warburton’s signings this season, but has regularly struggled with injuries.
But, according to the Daily Express, new Hull manager Marco Silva is keen on the 23-year-old and thinks he could help the club in their fight against relegation from the Premier League, but Rangers have allegedly rebuffed their advances.
Silva has already lost Jake Livermore to West Brom and is on the verge of losing Robert Snodgrass with West Ham set to sign the Scotland international.
But is Windass really about to replace him? And for £1.5 million? According to onlookers on social media, something doesn’t add up:
'@SportsPeteO think of a Rangers player we can link with Hull"
"Windass cause his da?"
"aye m8 dae that "

Hull did not bid for windass complete and utter nonsense, also if someone bid 1.5 million we would suck their penis for that amount

Not a chance that Josh Windass is a Marco Silva target! So if the rumours are true then who's target is he? #hcafc

I'm actually quite surprised that there is a team looking at Windass. He's been v. Inconsistent & he's spent most of his time out injured.

I don't believe the Josh Windass story at all but if the offer was more around £3.5-4 million it may be tempting. So inconsistent

What do you make of the story? Could there be anything in it?
