Manchester City were involved in one of the greatest Champions League games in the tournament’s history last night, as they came back from 2-0 down to beat Monaco 5-3 at the Etihad.

In fact, the game was so good, one City fan decided he wanted a little memento – Kevin de Bruyne‘s shirt.

Although, instead of simply waiting to see if the Belgian would go over to the fans and happen to give him his jersey, this City supporter took a pro-active approach and pretended to be a steward to get on the pitch.

Dressed in the same uniform worn by stewards – the plucky fan walked over to de Bruyne and asked if he could have the former Chelsea-man’s shirt, to which he happily obliged.

The fan then made a quick exit, sprinting back to the stands as other stewards caught on to his cheeky scheme:

And you can’t really blame him after watching his side crumble after Radamel Falcao cancelled out Raheem Sterling’s opener before Kylian Mbappe secured the lead for Monaco.

Sergio Aguero then grabbed an equaliser, before ex-Manchester United forward Falcao scored a delightful chip to restore the visitors lead.

Late goals from John Stones, Leroy Sane and Aguero sealed the victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.
