You’ll Struggle to Wrap Your Head Around Ezequiel Lavezzi’s Astronomical Wages

Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi‘s salary has been leaked on social media this afternoon… and you won’t believe what the forward earns per week.

It’s understood that Lavezzi rakes in a earth-shattering £798,000 a week playing for Chinese side Hebei China Fortune, meaning he surpasses the salaries of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Lavezzi was one of the first high-profile players to make the move to the Chinese Super League, leaving Ligue 1 giants PSG at the start of 2016.

And while the 32-year-old has won four Ligue 1 titles, the Coppa Italia with Napoli and a Gold Medal at the Beijing Olympics, a look at his recent form will definitely leave you scratching your head.

Lavezzi has made just 15 appearances in China, scoring two goals and contributing nine assists – not exactly the sort of stats the scream a £798,000-per-week player.

Twitter can’t quite believe it either:

You have to wonder if Hebei believe they are getting their moneys worth with this deal?
