Frank de Boer‘s Crystal Palace appointment will go down as one of the worst and most farcical reigns in Premier League history, but it appears the Dutchman is already able to see the funny side of things.
The former Barcelona and Ajax defender was appointed Palace boss on a three-year contract during the summer transfer window but lasted just FOUR games at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles lost all four matches and failed to score a goal along the way, which persuaded the club’s hierarchy to replace de Boer with former England coach Roy Hodgson.
But earlier today, de Boer took to Instagram to wish his daughter all the best as she begins a six-month stint studying at Cambridge Uni, and his hashtag was absolutely brilliant:
Well done, Frank. It must be pretty hard to look on the bright side at times like these – but then again, he’s probably just been given a multi-million pound pay off.
C’est la vie.
