David Moyes Throws Hat into the Ring for the Scotland Job… Fans Want to Chuck it Back Out

David Moyes is keen to talk with the SFA in regards to succeeding Gordon Strachan as Scotland boss, however, he doesn’t appear to be a popular choice with supporters.

With Strachan’s contract up over the next few weeks amid Scotland’s failure to seal a play-off spot for the World Cup, the ex-Celtic manager parted company with the national team this afternoon.

And with Moyes currently out of work following a disastrous spell in charge of Sunderland, the 54-year-old has thrown his hat into the ring for consideration.

Sky Sports News confirmed that Moyes is interested in the position via their Twitter account:

However, they were soon inundated with fans voicing their disapproval over the idea of Moyes taking charge:

Moyes performed miracles during his first major job at Everton – where he spent 11 years before being headhunted by Sir Alex Ferguson as his replacement at Manchester United.

Moyes struggled at Old Trafford though and only lasted one year, similar to his spells at Real Sociedad and then the Black Cats during their relegation campaign.

Is he the right man at the right time for Scotland?

Or should the SFA steer clear of a manager with a poor record in recent seasons?
