Video: Ryan Kent Reveals Michael Beale Played Big Part in Decision to Join Rangers

New Rangers signing Ryan Kent has revealed coach Michael Beale played a big part in attracting him to Glasgow, as well as the lure of playing under Steven Gerrard.

The 21-year-old winger has been regarded as one of the most exciting young prospects at Liverpool for several years now, and spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Bristol City in the English Championship.

Kent will be well known to not only Gerrard, but his fellow coach at Ibrox, Michael Beale.

It turns out Beale – who was previously Head of Coaching at Liverpool before joining Gerrard in Glasgow – played a big part in helping Kent develop into the exciting midfielder he is, and the opportunity to work with him again was simply too good to turn down.

Speaking via Rangers TV, Kent described the move as a simple no-brainer:

How do you think Kent will fare in the Scottish Premiership throughout the 2018/19 campaign, and can Beale and Gerrard help the youngster to develop into a genuine first-team player at Anfield?
