Chris Sutton hailed Celtic Park after his old side’s Europa League victory over RB Leipzig tonight.
The Hoops beat the Bundesliga title challengers 2-1 courtesy of goals from Kieran Tierney and Odsonne Edouard.
And it was a return to the noise and positivity that Celtic Park is known for, with a full house of fans enjoying the entertainment served up by Brendan Rodgers’ side.
They went into an early lead thanks to Tierney’s powerful goal, but weren’t able to add to that before Jean-Kevin Augustin headed home a RB Leipzig equaliser in the second half.
Celtic needed just seconds to regain their lead though, with Ryan Christie brilliantly setting up Edouard’s winner.
Sutton was working as part of BT Sport’s commentary team on the game and took to Twitter afterwards to praise the return of the European nights he remembers from his time playing for the club:
Tonight was how I remember European nights in Paradise 🍀 Too many good performances… a very special place to play when the atmosphere is like this👏👏

That will be music to the ears of Celtic fans who have been desperate to see their team produce a big performance and result at home in Europe.
With the win, it gives them six points from four games in their group and ensures they still have a chance of qualification for the last 32 going into the final two matches.
