Brendan Rodgers Says He’s ‘Delighted’ After Celtic Are Drawn Against Valencia

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says he’s delighted to be facing one of Spain’s great sides after the Hoops were paired with Valencia in the Europa League last-32.

After coming through ahead of RB Leipzig in the group stages, the Scottish champions were drawn against Los Che after they dropped out of the Champions League group phase, narrowly being eliminated in a section with Manchester United and Juventus.

Celtic will undoubtedly be the underdogs for the tie but Rodgers insists he’s looking forward to the first-leg, which will take place in Glasgow in February.

Rodgers has cemented himself as a genuine Celtic modern-day legend in his two-and-a-half years at the club, after setting various records domestically, but Europe is the one area of his record that he’d love to make an improvement in.

Do you think Celtic have a realistic chance of reaching the last-32? And how would you rate Rodgers record in Europe?
