Watford sealed their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup this afternoon, thanks to a sublime assist from midfielder Roberto Pereyra.
With 10 minutes left at Vicarage Road, the game was heading toward a stalemate, after Michy Batshuayi had cancelled out Etienne Capoue’s opener.
However, Argentina international Pereyra clearly wasn’t having it.
The 28-year-old received the ball from substitute Andre Gray and quickly returned the favour by dinking a fabulous cross over the Palace defence for Gray to score an emphatic winner:
Right on the money!
The Hornets are the first team to make it through to the FA Cup semi-finals, with Manchester City, Swansea, Wolves, Manchester United, Brighton and Millwall all still to play.
Not that Pereyra will be fearing any of them after that assist! Fantastic.
