Mikey Johnston and Ewan Henderson both scored in Celtic reserves’ win over St Johnstone earlier this week.
The pair are known to Hoops fans after making an impact on the first team over the last year.
So much is expected of them when they drop down to play for the reserves.
Johnston has been in good scoring form recently, hitting the net on numerous occasions for the reserves while also scoring a beautiful free-kick in the Glasgow Cup Final win over Rangers.
As for Henderson, he isn’t known for his goals, but he took his strike against St Johnstone yesterday brilliantly.
It was a 3-2 win for Celtic’s reserves – a good result, but not enough to stop Rangers clinching the reserve league title on the same day after they beat Falkirk:
How good was that Johnston free-kick?
Both will be hoping they can make an impact on the first team between now and the end of the season, with Neil Lennon’s side facing Rangers this weekend before taking on Hearts in their final league game and the Jambos again in the Scottish Cup Final.
