Video: Neil Lennon Admits Celtic Lacked Edged – But Criticises Ref for Missing 2 ‘Stonewall’ Penalties

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has criticised officials for missing what he describes as two ‘stonewall’ penalties in today’s draw with Hibs.

The Hoops were behind early in the Premiership clash after Kristoffer Ajer’s unfortunate own goal, only for Ryan Christie to head home his 11th goal in all competitions so far this season to make it 1-1.

Despite a flurry of late opportunities, Celtic failed to make the dominance pay, and their manager wasn’t happy with some of the officiating after the full-time whistle.

Celtic appealed for two penalties in the second-half, after apparent fouls on Christie and Moritz Bauer, but both were waved away by referee Kevin Clancy and his assistants – much to Lennon’s annoyance:

Whilst today represents two points dropped, Celtic have now won six and drawn one of their opening seven Premiership matches, which isn’t too bad, is it?
