Video: Neil Lennon Discusses How Celtic First Spotted Jeremie Frimpong’s Talent

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been explaining how he and his fellow Hoops coaches first spotted Jeremie Frimpong‘s exciting talent.

Frimpong arrived in Glasgow from Man City’s youth academy as a fresh-faced 18-year-old during the most recent transfer window, and only made his first professional appearance for any club in Celtic’s 5-0 Betfred Cup win over Partick Thistle in September.

Since then, the Holland Under-20 international has played five more times for Celtic, and pretty much every one of his appearances have been nothing short of sensational.

The jet-heeled right-back helped himself to an assist in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Livingston, and Lennon has now confirmed he’ll be registered for the knockout stages of the Europa League after Christmas.

And on top of that, Lennon has been divulging exactly how Frimpong came to his attention, and the role of recruitment specialist Nick Hammond in signing the youngster for just £300,000:

Do you think we could be looking at the next big star Celtic have developed in recent years?

And will Frimpong start next month’s Betfred Cup Final against Rangers at Hampden?
