Diego Costa fully embraced his pantomime villain role at Anfield last night by pretending to cough on waiting journalists and refusing to stop for any interviews.
The Ateltico Madrid striker started his side’s stunning 3-2 after-extra-time victory over Liverpool last night, and was substituted in the second-half by manager Diego Simeone after a pretty underwhelming return to England for the ex-Chelsea man.
However, after watching his team-mates seal victory from the bench, it seems Diego had cheered-up a bit by the time he entered the media mix-zone, but rather than giving his opinions on an historic result, he decided to make an absolutely side-splitting hilarious joke about the fear surrounding Coronavirus:
To be honest, when he was terrorising defences in the Premier League, we used to rather enjoy Costa’s antics, but this sort of patter is just a bit naff, don’t you think?
